The heavily increased transaction charges of the larger auction houses, combined with the uncertainty about the actual payment for objects sold at auction have led to a growing number of private sales through Art Consult. For such transactions Art Consult works with a third parties bank account to ensure the financial safety of client’s moneys. Sellers are kept informed constantly of all details throughout the process while discretion to third parties is guaranteed. In this way Art Consult has sold objects to many international museums, including the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, the Boymans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam; the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; the Metropolitan Museum, New York; the Louvre, Paris and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, as well as to a large group of international private collectors.
